Spaceform at Berkeley

Forming our future in space by furthering in Space Manufacturing and Aerospace materials

About

Established in 2022, SpaceForm is a student organization that aims to advance the frontiers of aerospace materials and in-space manufacturing, an industry that will play a large role in commercial space over the next decade. With a dedicated team of UC Berkeley undergraduates and cutting-edge projects at the forefront of materials science, computing, and engineering, our goal is to help build the foundations for success for space research. Working closely with Professors and organizations on campus, our goal is to help create the world’s first comprehensive database of materials in lunar conditions, laying the ground work for the next hundred years of space innovation.

Spring 2023 Project

First database for materials in lunar conditions

Our goal is to create a material database for lunar conditions. This tool aids researchers and other professionals in the aerospace industry in better understanding material behavior in space environments and in selecting materials for technological innovation pertaining to in-space manufacturing.
